Producer and songwriter Terence Thompson took a moment to chat with Muzilog's Samuel Archer about his new Jazz full-length release and a little thing about everything else.
Terence Thompson is a versatile producer, songwriter, artist, and musician. Throughout his career, Terence has collaborated with a diverse group of artists, musicians, and producers across all genres of music to include Teddy Riley of Blackstreet to prolific jazz drummer and producer Nate Smith. Terence's hand picked and recorded the music for Michael Jackson's "Heaven Can Wait,"' which was produced primarily by Nate Smith for Terence's production company.
Terence played a significant role in helping to launch the career of Elliot Yamin. Terence mentored Yamin before and during his time on AI. Terence's versatility as a songwriter and producer can be heard on Monifah's "Too Late" and "How Ya Gonna Luv Me" (Home project). Terence and Antoinique Parker penned the lyrics for both songs

Magaly Colimon-Christopher Awarded $ Through City Artist Corps Grant
Queens-based Haitian-American Actress Writer Producing Artistic Director Magaly Colimon-Christopher is the recipient of a $5, City Artist Corps grant for NYC-based working artists disproportionately impacted by COVID The program is presented by The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), with support from the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) and Queens Theatre.
Magaly is recognized for AFTERSHOCKS: A Tetralogy of Our Times a video compilation of short plays, animation and montage art conceptualized by Magaly. AFTERSHOCKS produced by Magaly's company Conch Shell Productions, explores love and life in Caribbean American communities in New York City during the coronavirus pandemic. “My goal is to provide students with exercises and techniques that release students from habitual self-use patterns and free them to realize authentic moments in performance and – ideally life.
My Acting 1 class is an Introduction to Character. This class will give actors the tools needed to explore and analyze characters in scripted material. Through various holistic approaches multi-sensory work, games, spontanitet, actionable objectives, movement, etc. Students will learn fängslande and transformational ways to read a script and bring to life vibrant, multi-dimensional characters in performance.
My Acting 2 class focuses on Script Analysis for the Actor. This class will give students the tools needed to read scripts with active curiosity, so that you can bring the script to life in unique and specific ways.
