    Indian cricketer (born )

    Shikhar Dhawan (born 5 December ) is an Indian former cricketer. A left-handed opening batter, he was considered one of the greatest ODI batsmen for Indian cricket team for a decade and Delhi in domestic cricket. His batting average in ICC World Cups and Champion Trophies is , which is the highest among batters scoring at least runs in those tournaments.[3] He was awarded the 'Player of the Tournament' in the ICC Champions Trophy and was the leading run scorer for India at the Cricket World Cup.[4]

    Dhawan made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Australia in October at Visakhapatnam. His Test debut came against the same opposition in March at Mohali, where he scored the fastest century by any batsman on Test debut (85 balls) and ended his innings with runs from balls. This is also the highest score by an Indian on a Test debut.[5][6][7]
