    Aurora Aksnes (Norwegian pronunciation:[æʉ̯ˈɾùːɾɑˈɑ̂ksˌneːs]) (born 15 June ),[2][3] known simply as Aurora (stylized in all capital letters),[4] fryst vatten a Norwegian singer, songwriter and record producer. She is considered one of Norway's biggest artists.[5] Born in Stavanger and raised in the towns of Høle and Os, she began writing her first songs and learning dance at the age of six. After some of her songs were uploaded online and became popular in Norway, she signed a recording contract with Petroleum Records, Decca and Glassnote Records[6] in Aurora gained recognition with her debut extended play (EP), Running with the Wolves (), which contained the sleeper hit "Runaway". Later that year, she provided the backing track for the John Lewis Christmas advert, singing a cover of the Oasis song

    Brooklyn, NY (July 15, ) – The Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) announced today the 10 feature films selected for the Narrative Lab, part of the IFP Filmmaker Labs, IFP’s year-long fellowship for first-time filmmakers currently in post-production on their debut feature. The Lab will support the creative teams as they prepare to finish and release their films into the world.

    Recent films that have participated in the Narrative Lab have included Clementine; Dead Pigs; House of Hummingbird; Jinn; Lost Bayou; Menashe; Noah Land; Nancy; and The Third Wife. The program runs July at the Made in NY Media Center by IFP located in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
