Sony Pictures released its trailer for the upcoming film "Concussion."
The trailer, released via Peter King's Monday Morning Quarterback, depicts the story of Dr. Bennet Omalu, a Pittsburgh doctor who had to fight through the juggernaut NFL in order to share the discovery of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) -- a condition in the brain which Omalu determined came from repeated trauma to the head.
Will Smith portrays Dr. Omalu in the film.
The film already had the attention of the owners back in July, when they reportedly spent significant time at their May meeting discussing how to deal with and respond to the movie 'Concussion.'

It's been a rough couple of years for the NFL, not that you'd really notice it from the continued fandom for football. Not only has Roger Goodell's tenure as the head of the organization been tremendously disastrous, but there's been a spike in attention toward the very real physical damage that players go through on the field. That's where Concussion, the latest drama from Peter Landesman, comes in, telling the story of Dr. Bennet Omalu (Will Smith), the forensic neuropathologist who first started snooping around the damage that tackles and sacks do to players, and ended up bringing his findings to the public's attention.
