Urwa ibn al-Zubayr
Muslim jurist and scholar (c. 644–713)
Urwa ibn al-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam al-Asadi (Arabic: عُرْوَة بْن الزُّبَيْر بْن الْعَوَّام الأَسَدِيّ, romanized: ʿUrwa ibn al-Zubayr ibn al-ʿAwwām al-ʾAsadī; c. 644–713) was an early Muslim traditionist, widely regarded as a founding figure in the field of historical study among the Muslims. He was a son of Muhammad's close aide al-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam, and a nephew of his wife A'isha. He spent much of his life in Medina, witnessed the First Fitna (656–661) as a youth, and supported his elder brother Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr in his failed attempt to establish his caliphate in the Second Fitna (680–692). After Abd Allah's elimination by his Syria-based Umayyad rivals, Urwa reconciled with the Umayyads, whom he paid occasional visits and maintained a literary correspondence with.

Background
Hazrat Zubair bin al Awwam’s(ra) father was Awwam bin Khuwailid and his mother’s name was Safia bint Abdul Muttalib(ra), who was the paternal aunt of the Holy Prophet(sa). Hazrat Zubair’s(ra) lineage connects with the Holy Prophet(sa) through Qusai bin Kilab.
Hazrat Zubair(ra) was the nephew of Hazrat Khadija(ra), the wife of the Holy Prophet(sa). Hazrat Zubair(ra) was married to Hazrat Asmaa(ra), the daughter of Hazrat Abu Bakr(ra) and the Holy Prophet(sa) was married to the other daughter of Hazrat Abu Bakr(ra), Hazrat Aisha(ra). In this way, the Holy Prophet(sa) and Hazrat Zubair(ra) were married to two sisters. Thus, Hazrat Zubair(ra) had numerous family ties with the Holy Prophet(sa).
Hazrat Zubair’s(ra) title was Abu Abdullah. Initially, his mother, Hazrat Safia(ra) gave him the title of Abu Tahir, which was given to him as it was the title of her brother, Zubair bin Abdul Mut

Al-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam ibn Khuwaylid al-Asadi (Arabic: الزُّبَيْر بْن الْعَوَّام بْن خُوَيْلِد الأَسَدِيّ, romanized: al-Zubayr ibn al-ʿAwwām ibn Khuwaylid al-ʾAsadī; c. 594–656) was an ArabMuslim commander in the service of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and the caliphsAbu Bakr (r. 632–634) and Umar (r. 634–644) who played a leading role in the Ridda wars against rebel tribes in Arabia in 632–633 and later participated in early Muslim conquests of Sasanid Persia in 633–634, Byzantine Syria in 634–638, and the Exarchate of Africa in 639–643.
An early convert to Islam, Zubayr was a commander in the Battle of Badr in 624, in which the latter was instrumental in defeating the opponent forces of the Quraysh.
