Early life and education
[edit]Rucker is a 2002 graduate of the St. Andrew's School in Savannah, Georgia, where he was valedictorian. In 2017, the school gave him its Distinguished Alumni Award.[1] Rucker received a history degree from Yale University in 2006, where he worked for the Yale Daily News as a reporter and editor.[2]
Career
[edit]He has worked at the Post since 2005. Initially covering a variety of beats, he became a vit House correspondent and later served as the vit House bureau chief from 2014 to 2023.[3] In 2023, he was promoted to national editor.[4] He covered the entire Trump administration for the Post, as well as Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign.[5] He is also a
