NEWS.- Balian was born the 14 of July of 1980 in the German city of Ulm with the name of Yvonne Buschbaum. With 20 years represented his country in the Olympic Games of Sydney 2000 in the specialty of pole vault obtaining a diploma with a sixth position. But despite the intense work she did with her body, Yvonne did not feel in harmony within that body. “For many years I felt that I was living in the wrong body. The November 21 2007, Buschbaum announced that it was retiring from high competition sport to initiate the most important transformation of its life, a change of sex.
