    Karan Kapadia marked mother Simple Kapadia's birth anniversary in a warm post on Instagram. She died due to cancer in 2009.

    Actor Karan Kapadia dedicated a post to his mother Simple Kapadia on her birth anniversary. Simple died on November 10, 2009 after she was diagnosed with cancer. She was 51. (Also read: Karan Kapadia undergoes knee surgery)

    Karan took to his Instagram handle and shared a monochrome picture of Simple. He wrote in the caption, “Happy Birthday Mom, the most beautiful person inside and out, you still continue to inspire me and make me better, love you.”

    Simple Kapadia (15 August 1958 – 10 November 2009) was a Hindi film actress and costume designer, who was active in her professional career from 1987 until her death in 2009. She won the National Film Award for Best Costume Design for Rudaali (1994).

    Simple was born on 15 August 1958[1] to parents Chunnibhai and Betty Kapadia. She was raised alongside 3 siblings - elder sister Dimple Kapadia, younger sister Reem Kapadia and Suhail (Munna) Kapadia.[2]
