About four days ago, the Nigerian film industry lost one of its matriarchs, Folake Aremu, popularly known as Orisabunmi. She died at 60.
The film industry has evolved and there are just a few who have witnessed the change and are still active in the game. They saw the movie industry’s transformation from celluloid to cassette; then its evolution to compact disc and now streaming services as well as cable television; they are also known across generations.

Faithia Williams Balogun formerly Faith Williams (born 5 February 1969) is a Nigerian actress, filmmaker, producer and director.[1][2]
Early life
[edit]Faithia Williams is Urhobo from Delta state in the south-south region of Nigeria.[3] She was born in Ikeja the Lagos state capital on 5 February 1969. She was born into a polygamous family of nine.[4] Faithia attended Maryland Primary School and Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School in Lagos State
